Saved a Homemade Halloween

My kids decided that Halloween isn’t as fun when we don’t make our own costumes. They always have a challenge for me, and this year was no different. I was at a total loss over how I was going to pull this one off, but I found this pattern and it truly saved the day!

@BroNavaro was so kind and helpful throughout the process! He resized the pattern for me and answered all of my newbie questions. As a novice, I would have loved some more in depth instructions, but it was good to know that I could always ask for help if I got stuck. All around a great product and service!

Construction notes:
It took me about 9 exercise floor mats to accommodate the pattern for a child of 60 lbs and 51” tall. I made some minor modifications as well. The head was still pretty tall and wide for my son, so I eliminated the middle section of the head, trimmed the vertical edge of the head, and used Velcro to secure it to the torso. The visor also needed to be reduced further as a result and used 3 1/2” foam balls for the reduced visor size (secure with hot glue not contact cement). I recommend elastic straps for the feet and hands. I also used foam dowels in lieu of PVC pipes, and a heavy duty #10 zipper (20 inches) to fasten the back seam.
